Project Grasshopper

I’ve been tweeting about it and posting photos, but since you can only convey so much through 140 characters, here’s a look at my The Man in the High Castle fan project!

I got the idea from the awesome resistance radio packages the official marketing team (I’m guessing it was that department) sent out to people on Twitter (oh, and trust me, you would all know if I got one. The world would not be able to contain my screeches of delight!). I figured that the odds are stacked against one tiny person, so I decided to create my own little High Castle haven.

I ordered (and assembled) a retro shelf and am going to decorate it with themes from the show. This is going to be one of those on-going, I-will-add-to-it-piece-by-piece (aka, when my paychecks allow and as I find the perfect relics) projects.

This is where I initially planned to put it, but I’m not so sure now because the lighting in that area isn’t the best for photographs:

If anyone has any tips for lighting up an area like this and making it look natural, I am all ears!

Saving the world with High Castle and Field Team 6

Tuesday I had the awesome pleasure of joining the Axis of Good (Joel de la Fuente, Rufus Sewell, Chelah Horsdal, Stephen Root, Jason O’Mara, Frances Turner, Michael Gaston, Sebastian Roché, and Isa Hacket) with Field Team 6 for an evening of textbanking.  Let me tell you about the absolute blast I had! I didn’t know what to expect–was I nervous going in? You bet I was! I am probably the shyest person you’ll ever meet…until you get to know me, that is!  The week started off with absolute chaos, as 2020 weeks often do. I spent that day doing a bunch of house projects which involved a lot of nit and grit. In Memory of Jeffrey

To say that February was horrible would be an understatement. For those who don’t know, there was a second death in my family. Hi everyone, I am still here. Let me tell you a thing: February sucked. One of my step brothers passed away on Friday. He had been in the hospital for weeks, but it still sucks. All I can say is at least we were all together when we got the news.
