Voldemort Bubble Baths and Boxy Labyrinths

I have some huge news! I am moving out of state, off to seek adventures in new places. I am going where no MLC has gone before. I don’t think I’ll get a chance to update this blog before the big day, so this is a heads up that I will be gone from the Internet for a while (hopefully a very short while, as I love surfing). Mouse clicking is such a therapeutic sport.

Before any move, there are always misadventures to be had in the labyrinth that is packing…Voldemort taking a bubble bath being one of them. I don’t know why he of all my action figures ended up getting an unknown substance on him, but he did. The bubble bath worked wonders, though he wasn’t too happy about it.

Here we can see Alfred Bester and Loki exploring a stack of boxes. They escaped the newspaper wrapping and box stuffing frenzy. Don’t worry: they will be shoved into my purse. What’s a road trip without action figures? A geek must have her priorities straight.

I love wearing necklaces and rings, so I kept one of each of my favorites out.

Just so you all have something random to look at while I’m gone, here is a picture of a computer taking a picture of a computer snapping a picture of another computer. …And to think that little 5th grader me laughed when the teacher said that one day computers will be able to fit in the palms of our hands.

The man is Tom Hiddleston as Loki at Comic-Con 2013.

SGS: Creativity!

Looking at Heather’s wonderful prompts, I just realized that April is almost over. Is it really the last Sunday of the month already!? How did that happen? Even with quarantine it feels like it just zipped by! This week’s Seriously Geeky Sundays theme hits close to home, and I am super excited about it. As you all know, I’m an artist who loves to draw, paint, write, and sew! 26th April – Creativity What does creativity in fandoms/geeky interests mean to you? EVERYTHING. Just look at Club High Castle! High Castle is the one fandom where I’ve felt like I’ve been allowed to flourish. The countless hours and dedication I’ve put into the things I’ve created has been appreciated by both fans and the cast and crew. I have never experienced anything like it, and it has genuinely made me happy over the years. I’ve been in other fandoms where art and things just slipped by unnoticed–not that I’m seeking attention, but knowing that there are people out there who enjoy my...

Saving the world with High Castle and Field Team 6

Tuesday I had the awesome pleasure of joining the Axis of Good (Joel de la Fuente, Rufus Sewell, Chelah Horsdal, Stephen Root, Jason O’Mara, Frances Turner, Michael Gaston, Sebastian Roché, and Isa Hacket) with Field Team 6 for an evening of textbanking. Let me tell you about the absolute blast I had! I didn’t know what to expect–was I nervous going in? You bet I was! I am probably the shyest person you’ll ever meet…until you get to know me, that is! The week started off with absolute chaos, as 2020 weeks often do. I spent that day doing a bunch of house projects which involved a lot of nit and grit. I scrambled to get my laptop ready in time without bothering to fix my hair and without any attempt at looking presentable. Normally fans are muted and shuffled to the back of these things. Well….I clicked the link and HELLO WORLD! Hello Joel in particular because I know you saw me fumbling around and flustered! 😉 After a minute or so, I managed to turn my...

Chasing Frequencies

The past few weeks have been busy and stressful. I’m posting an update to let you all know that I’m still here! The end of month post for October will be uploaded sometime this week. I’m hoping that things calm down soon and that I’ll be posting regularly again! In other news, I am doing NaNoWriMo this year! I’m 7583 words in so far. As for my illustrations and that project, I’m almost finished with it. The formatting is almost done. I can’t wait to finish it and to show it off!
