Oh my!

August was such a hot month!

I’ve been taking strides to get rid of the unwanted sort of busy, so for the month of August, I have had plenty of time to do what I enjoy most!

What is old is new

I wanted to clean up my old digital art technique; I used this month to play around with it. The three samples below show my progression as the month went on, and I am absolutely thrilled with how the third one came out!

I first drew the pictures on paper, snapped pictures of them, and then uploaded them onto my computer. I did the “digitalizing” in photoshop.

I’m going to stick with the trend of digitalizing some of my pencil drawings. Here is a preview of one that I’m working on right now.

Books read

I’m still at 7/3. I’m currently reading All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque. It’s a great book so far. If you get queasy from blood and gore, it may not be the book for you, but I highly recommend it. I’m about halfway through it.

Crude humor saves the day! This is exactly what the client (a coworker) wanted, and he issued a happy hoot when I delivered it to him. The picture was a hit on his side of the building.

I am losing the War Against Busyism ; it is such an unfortunate truth, but that doesn’t mean I was idle while waiting in the trenches. I was able to scribble out a few things for the month of July. A patriotic prelude to my new avatar Pencil drawings are such fun! I have plans to make a digital version of this ink sketch. I’m a Fighter Pilot – The image I created my avatar out of. SGS: Creativity!

Looking at Heather’s wonderful prompts, I just realized that April is almost over. Is it really the last Sunday of the month already!? How did that happen? Even with quarantine it feels like it just zipped by! This week’s Seriously Geeky Sundays theme hits close to home, and I am super excited about it. High Castle is Coming to SDCC Again!

News on the High Castle Front! High Castle is going to be at San Diego Comic Con again! Going off of last year’s SDCC appearance, we can expect some hints about Season 4, a release date, and a trailer! I have no idea what to predict about S4, so I’m going to hold all of my theories and speculations until after the panel. I CAN’T WAIT! Yet, it is also a bittersweet feeling knowing that this is the final season of the show that has been a huge part of my life since 2015. Never before has a TV show captured my imagination like Amazon’s The Man in the High Castle. Here are the details as posted by the official @HighCastleTV Twitter account: When: Sat, July 20th at 4:15 PM I am assuming this is PST, so it will be 7:15PM for us East Coasters.
